Zesty cranberries, jalapeños, and cheese baked between fluffy bread, perfect for gatherings or snacking.
# What You'll Need:
→ Bread
01 - 1 pound pizza dough, homemade or store-bought
→ Filling
02 - 1 cup fresh cranberries, chopped
03 - 2 medium jalapeños, seeded and finely diced
04 - 1/4 cup red onion, finely diced
05 - 1/4 cup fresh cilantro, chopped
06 - 1 tablespoon lime juice
07 - 1 tablespoon honey
08 - 1/4 teaspoon salt
09 - 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
10 - 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
11 - 1 cup shredded white cheddar cheese
→ Topping
12 - 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
13 - 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped (optional)
# Directions:
01 - Preheat the oven to 350°F. Grease a 9-inch round baking dish or cast iron skillet with butter.
02 - In a medium mixing bowl, combine chopped cranberries, diced jalapeños, red onion, cilantro, lime juice, honey, and salt. Stir thoroughly and allow to rest for 10 minutes so flavors can marry.
03 - In a separate bowl, whisk softened cream cheese until smooth. Gently incorporate half of the shredded mozzarella and white cheddar cheese.
04 - On a lightly floured surface, roll pizza dough into a 12 by 8-inch rectangle. Cut into 24 equal squares.
05 - Spoon a generous teaspoon of cheese mixture and a spoonful of cranberry-jalapeño salsa onto the center of each dough square. Gather edges and pinch closed to seal, forming a ball.
06 - Place dough balls, seam side down, into the prepared dish. Sprinkle remaining mozzarella and cheddar cheese evenly over the top.
07 - Brush the dough balls with melted butter. Bake for 25 to 30 minutes, until bread is golden and cheese is bubbly.
08 - Garnish with chopped parsley if desired. Serve warm, accompanied by extra cranberry-jalapeño salsa.
