Froggy-shaped sandwiches with cream cheese, cucumber, and playful veggie decorations, ideal for snacks or lunches.
# What You'll Need:
→ Sandwich Base
01 - 16 slices soft white or whole wheat sandwich bread
→ Filling
02 - 5 ounces cream cheese, softened
03 - 2 tablespoons mayonnaise
04 - 1 small cucumber, thinly sliced
05 - Salt, to taste
06 - Pepper, to taste
→ Decoration
07 - 16 large green grapes or pitted green olives (for eyes)
08 - 8 small cherry tomatoes, halved (for cheeks)
09 - 16 peppercorns or mini chocolate chips (for eye pupils)
10 - 8 small pieces of red bell pepper or carrot (for mouth)
11 - 16 thin slices of radish (optional, for cheeks)
# Directions:
01 - In a small bowl, combine the cream cheese and mayonnaise until smooth. Season with salt and pepper.
02 - Using a large round cookie cutter approximately 3 inches in diameter, cut frog faces from each bread slice.
03 - Spread the cream cheese mixture evenly over half of the bread circles. Layer cucumber slices on top, then cover with the remaining bread circles to form sandwiches.
04 - Use a sharp knife to cut two small slits at the top of each sandwich. Insert a grape or olive half cut-side down into each slit, then attach a peppercorn or mini chocolate chip to each eye using a small amount of cream cheese as adhesive.
05 - Arrange halved cherry tomatoes or radish slices as cheeks, and use small strips of red bell pepper or carrot to create smiling mouths.
06 - Serve immediately, or cover and refrigerate for up to 2 hours before serving.
