- Decoration: 16 large green grapes or pitted green olives (for eyes), 8 small cherry tomatoes halved (for cheeks), 16 peppercorns or mini chocolate chips (for eye pupils), 8 small pieces of red bell pepper or carrot (for mouth), 16 thin slices radish (optional for cheeks)
Instructions
- Step 1:
- In a small bowl mix the cream cheese and mayonnaise until smooth. Season with salt and pepper.
- Step 2:
- Using a large round cookie cutter (about 8 cm / 3 inch) cut frog faces from each bread slice.
- Step 3:
- Spread the cream cheese mixture evenly over half of the bread circles. Layer cucumber slices on top. Cover with the remaining bread circles to form sandwiches.
- Step 4:
- For the eyes use a sharp knife to cut two small slits at the top of each sandwich. Insert a grape or olive half (cut side down) into each slit. Attach a peppercorn or mini chocolate chip to each eye using a little cream cheese as glue.
- Step 5:
- Arrange cherry tomato halves or radish slices as cheeks. Use small strips of red bell pepper or carrot to create smiling mouths.
- Step 6:
